Tom is a grandson of our first pepper & salt Giant Schnauzer "Max" (Herkules vom Ullahof). Max was from all German lines and at the time was the only pepper & salt Giant Schnauzer in Australia and was mated to the black Giant Schnauzer Jokybija Cillas Precious. We kept "Ellie" (Reisenhund L Munchena) from this litter and her sister "Priscilla" Reisenhund My Girl is Tom's mum.
Tom's bloodlines are unrelated to Dakota's over 5 generations producing an excellent inbreeding coefficient (IC) of 0.00%. In additon, in their combined pedigree, 95% of all possible dogs are different producing an AVK (Ahnenverlustkoeffizient = loss of ancestors coefficient) of 95%. Due to the small genepool of pepper & salt Giant Schnauzers worldwide, inbreeding can have detrimental effects on the future health of the whole breed, so we hope with this mating to increase the genepool and thereby benefit the breed.
Both parents have been health tested. They are free from hip and elbow dysplasia and eye problems and have wonderful outgoing temperaments.
